CORVALLIS, Ore. – Freshman Leonel Munoz’s first collegiate goal could not have come at a more opportune time as he beat San Jose State keeper Jonathan Lester in the 85th minute to give the Huskies a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

The match was very closely contested as SJSU edged the Huskies, 8-7, in shots, and 3-1 in corner kicks.

Munoz’s goal was assisted by junior Joelle Daniel. Munoz played just 15 minutes off the bench.

Junior Chris Dodd stopped two shots in the win, while Lester had one save.

HBU (1-2) will continue its road trip at the Oral Roberts Tournament this weekend. The Huskies play Centenary on Friday and the host Golden Eagles on Sunday.
