DALLAS – Duke Ogega’s goal in the 88th minute gave the Huskies a hard-fought 1-0 win over Missouri State in the first day of the SMU Classic Friday afternoon.

The Bears came into the game ranked sixth in the Midwest Region after upsetting #6 Creighton last week.

Ogega’s second goal of the season – as well as second game winner – was aided by Adam Jakle, who sent a cross into the box and Ogega kicked it into the corner of the net.

Missouri State outshot HBU, 16-12, while both teams were tied with six corner kicks apiece.

Michael Bouchahine earned his third win, and second shutout, of the season, as he made six saves. The Bears’ Alex Riggs stopped three.

HBU (4-4-0) will conclude the Classic against UAB on Sunday at 11 am.
