Cameron Earns Great West Offensive Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Junior captain Isla Cameron has been named the Great West Offensive Player of the Week for games played the week of October 26.

Cameron tallied a single goal in a 3-2 loss at Utah Valley.  The Huskies were down 3-1 and she put a header in the goal on a rebound from a Brandi Hart shot to cut the deficit to one.  In the final regular season game, Cameron did it all herself with a pair of unassisted goals in a 2-0 win over South Dakota.  It was Cameron’s first multi-goal game since her freshman season.

Cameron leads the team with seven goals and 16 points.  The Huskies will face South Carolina State on Friday, November 6 in the first round of the Great West Conference tournament in Newark, N.J.
