Media Relations

The HBU Athletic Media Relations is available to assist with all media inquiries and sports information questions. The Athletic Media Relations office is located at Sharp Gym on the HBU campus.

Working Credentials: Requests for press credentials should be directed to the Houston Baptist University sports information office. Upon acceptance of application, the appropriate passes will be held for pickup at the Sharp Gymnasium will call. All working press members will be seated at courtside.

Game Services: Programs, game notes, statistics, and media guides will be supplied to all working media. Team and individual statistics will be brought to press row at halftime and complete statistics will be available following the game. HBU has a FAX machine which is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Radio Broadcasts: Application for broadcasting permission must be made in writing to the HBU sports information office at least one week prior to the game. Seating will be provided for no more than three persons. Any station other than the designated official station of each visiting school will be charged a $50 rights fee.

Player Interviews: All requests for coach or player interviews, either in person or by phone, must be arranged no less than 24 hours in advance through the HBU media relations office. No player interviews will be granted on game day prior to the game. However, HBU players will be available after games following a NCAA-prescribed 10-minute cooling-off period.

Coaches Interviews: Coaches will meet with the media after each game following a short post-game meeting with the team.
