2009: Appeared in 15 games, including two starts as a sophomore…struck out a season-high six, allowing one run on three hits in 4.0 innings of relief against Lubbock Christian (3/6)…allowed two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in 7.0 innings of relief at Dallas Baptist (4/2)…picked up a victory, allowing one run on one hit in 2.2 innings against Northern Colorado (4/11).

2008: Made eight appearances, including one start as a freshman...recorded nine strikeouts in 14.1 innings.

High School: Was an all-district selection...member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Mass communications major...son of John and Jeanine Nikonchik...born Feb. 9, 1989...one brother, Daniel...enjoys ping-pong and running.
