2009: Appeared in 27 games, including 11 starts at second base as a junior…hit .190 with five RBIs and 10 runs…recorded a .346 on-base percentage…went 2-for-3 with two runs at Dallas Baptist (4/4)…went 2-for-3 with three RBIs at Sam Houston State (4/22).

Previous College: Started for two years for the Wranglers...batted .399 as a sophomore...led the team in runs scored with 47 and walks with 36...second on the team with 11 doubles...member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

High School: Named all-state as a senior as well as all-county and all-district...won Texas 5A state championship as a senior.

Personal: Finance and business major...son of Alan and Donna Smith...born Aug. 26, 1987...plans to work in the banking industry after graduation.
