AT HBU: JUNIOR (2007): Second on the team in kills (332) and digs (367)...averaged 3.77 kills per game with a .261 hitting percentage...had career-best 4.17 digs per game...set a new single-match high with 26 kills against Briar Cliff...had back-to-back 30-dig efforts, including a career-best 35 against Southwestern...set new personal best of six service aces in a win over Texas-Brownsville...had 11 double-doubles, giving her 29 for her career...moved into fifth place all-time in kills with 1,110 and is also in top ten all-time in service aces and digs...SOPHOMORE (2006): Named to the All-Red River Athletic Conference team after posting averages of 2.87 kills and 2.40 digs per match...had five double-doubles and set new career-high with 22 kills on two occasions, both against Southwestern...also set a new career-best of seven blocks in a win over Texas A&M International...selected to the RRAC All-Academic team...FRESHMAN (2005): Named to the All-Red River Athletic Conference team...was third on team in kills per game (3.03) and digs (3.40)...posted season-bests of 17 kills against Texas Wesleyan and 27 digs against Lubbock Christian...had 13 double-double efforts...HIGH SCHOOL: All-District and Most Valuable Player...also chosen Newcomer of the Year and Miss Defense while playing for coach Gay Sabatell…chosen Texas Scholar and member of National Honor Society…played club volleyball for Houston Juniors...PERSONAL: Dean’s List student who is a biology and business major…enjoys movies, reading and being with friends…two sisters, Sonia and Linda…daughter of Mario and Maria Barrera…born Nov. 22, 1987.
