HOUSTON – Nearly 200 Houston Baptist student-athletes, coaches and athletic department administrators welcomed the university’s new students by helping them move into their new homes Thursday.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Track and field athletes Erica Clark and Raquel Tidwell achieved 4.0 grade point averages to lead 18 Houston Baptist student-athletes named to the Great West Conference Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference team by the league office. Athletes from six HBU teams earned recognition, which required a minimum 3.2 GPA and participation in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. First year students and junior college transfers are not eligible.
