HOUSTON – The HBU women’s soccer team begins a six-match homestand Friday night against Prairie View A&M at 7 pm and continues with a 1 pm Sunday match-up with UTEP.

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Houston Baptist volleyball team will hit the road for the Ragin’ Cajun Invitational hosted by Louisiana Friday and Saturday at Earl K. Long Gym.

HOUSTON – The HBU volleyball team defeated visiting Prairie View A&M, 3-0, in the Huskies’ home opener Tuesday night at Sharp Gym. The scores were 25-21, 25-17 and 25-22.

HOUSTON – After a 1-3 season-opening start at the FGCU Homewood Suites Volleyball Classic, the HBU volleyball team will return to the friendly confines of Sharp Gym to play Prairie View A&M Tuesday night at 7 pm.

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA scored two goals – including the game winner in the 89^th minute – in the final 13 minutes to defeat visiting HBU, 2-1, Sunday afternoon.

In the tournament finale, the Huskies lost a tightly contested game to host Florida Gulf Coast University, 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-23).

FT. MYERS, Fla. – Houston Baptist sophomore outside hitter Heather Leaverton had 17 kills and 10 digs to lead the Huskies to a 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 25-13) victory over Bethune-Cookman Saturday morning at the Homewood Suites Volleyball Invitational at Alico Arena.

HOUSTON – The HBU men’s soccer team concluded preseason play with a 0-0 tie against St. Edward’s Saturday evening at Sorrels Field.

FT. MYERS, Fla. – Houston Baptist rallied to force a fifth set, but couldn’t carry the momentum into the decisive frame as Florida Atlantic held off the Huskies, 3-2 (25-16, 18-25, 23-25, 25-16, 8-15) in the Homewood Suites Volleyball Invitational Friday afternoon at Alico Arena.

FT. MYERS, Fla. – Houston Baptist junior middle blocker Jolie Graf had eight kills and six blocks, but the Huskies fell to UCF, 3-0 (24-26, 18-25, 16-25), in the season-opener at the Homewood Suites Volleyball Classic Friday morning at Alico Arena.
